Project Description

This wellness center was designed as a sensorial journey — one where architecture becomes part of healing, and spatial planning supports intentional rest, restoration, and movement. Located in the coastal city of Mostaganem, the project reimagines the typical wellness complex as a space of emotional clarity, ecological responsibility, and tactile grounding.

Every square meter was orchestrated to guide users gently through phases of arrival, cleansing, treatment, and revitalization — integrating sustainable finishes, biophilic light dynamics, and sound-sensitive zoning.

Design Concept

The aim was to create a wellness hub that balances modern comfort with the timeless rituals of hydrotherapy and body care. Rooted in minimalist principles, the design encourages slow rhythms and sensory harmony — a place to breathe deeper, move intuitively, and be fully present.

Reception & Transition Zone

A soft vestibule sets the emotional tone. Warm clay-based palettes, curved joinery, and filtered light invite immediate calm. Scent, tactility, and low sound stimulation are carefully tuned.

Design Outcome

This wellness center redefines the spa experience for the Algerian context — not just as a facility, but as a regenerative architecture of care. It balances precision and poetics, offering clients a sanctuary that supports both body and mind, while honoring Synecca’s design ethos of intentional living and emotional wellbeing.
